From Teacher to Life Coach
Many years ago, I trained to become a chemical engineer (of all things!) and while the hardhat and safety glass production environment didn’t exactly fill my soul, it fed my purse for a short time after university. I swiftly and effortlessly followed opportunities that landed in my lap - all in the education sector. This was a familiar fit after years of tutoring, volunteering and advocating for girls to learn and pursue science.
Working closely with children and youth came easy, as I felt open to being the very best version of myself for their benefit. It came naturally both in front of the classroom and as a mentor to support and work from the heart. The field of education took me on an international journey through Europe, West Africa and finally my resting place of Mumbai, India.
A transition was knocking at my door in the Spring of 2013, after over 10yrs in the classroom. I found myself restless and knew that major shifts were needed if I was going to find a life truly my own and thrive. I managed to build up the courage to trust my voice within, although the road felt uneasy. That is what made all the difference. Jobless for the first time in my life, by choice, was a huge leap of faith.
My self-discovery was just beginning at this point, although I had already enjoyed 9 years of the endless spirituality India has to offer. What happens when you take away the identity of a job title, a community comfort zone, and a purpose that is so well established? You begin again. And that is what I did.
I started my life again through the unknown and came face-to-face with a challenging and humbling time. To begin again had huge opportunities, however, it also meant starting from what felt like zero, from scratch. So, I set off into intensive personal growth & life training.
Coaching was a natural fit and my purpose grew ever clearer. Cultivate yourself, grow your intuitive awareness, and keep working on shedding the layers so that you may be of service to others on their journeys.
This is now my purpose – to be of service to others as a ccach.
My vision is to provide a supportive space such that our innermost awareness naturally surfaces and reconnect with the power of our unique inner wisdom. We naturally yearn for happiness and for our authentic selves to emerge and grow.
Those who come for session know, my life is my work. There is no separation and this offers an opportunity for clients for an authentic and meaningful connection as their coach.
The rest of a full life…
Those who know me know that I love to squeeze the juice out of life, in every way :
- I am a painter, artist & hopeless aesthetic creative
- I am a student of the Buddha, a grower of trees and a famous triple chocolate brownie baker.
- I am a wandering adventurer whom you’ll find deep sea diving in the Philippines, high altitude mountain trekking in Nepal, floating down an Amazonian river or on polar bear safari in the Arctic.
- I am both an introvert and extrovert
- Most of all, I love deep and meaningful connection, which any of my friends or clients will tell you is me - just being natural.
